Process Description:
1、Receiving raw material and packing material
Purchase raw material and packing material from qualified suppliers and accept qualified products according to company’s standard. Fresh konjac and konjac chips all come from our own konjac plant area. Every batch of fresh konjac and konjac chips must be spot checked.
2. Storage
Fresh konjac should be stored in fresh konjac shelter, put on pallets and seperated by different batches. Obey the principles of First in First Out.
3. Water treatments:
Through water purification system (Reverse osmosis and post-treatment system), city water could be purified to qualified production material.
4. Peeling of fresh konjac:
Completely remove woody parts of fresh konjac by iron drag. Clean main-bud, soil, wormhole and root hair.
5. Fresh konjac clean: Use washing machine to clean the fresh konjac roots.
6. Slicing and drying: Put the clean fresh konjac roots into slicing machine. The speed of slicing
machine is 650-8750R/MIN. The thicknesses of konjac slice are 3-5mm. In the process of slicing, we
must correctly adjust correct slicing speed, the distance between cutting tips and keep konjac roots sliced with equal thickness. After slicing, all konjac chips will be dried by hot air.
7. Dried konjac chips selection: Select dried and qualified chips, remove not completely dried and unqualified chips.
8. Smashing: Smash the konjac chips into konjac flour. Control the moisture≤13%. The particle size is
between 40-120mesh.
9. Magnetic separation: install Bar Magnet or ring magnet at the discharge hole of konjac flour machine, konjac fine powder machine and Homogeneous tanks.
10. Sieving: Install vibrating screen at discharge hole of konjac flour crushing equipment. Sieve the
konjac flour into different particle size and separate from the impurities.
11. Grinding: Put the konjac flour which has been sieved into the grinding machine polishing and grinding.
12. Magnetic separation: Install Bar Magnet or ring magnet at the discharge hole of konjac flour
machine, konjac fine powder machine and Homogeneous tanks.
13. Sieving: Install vibrating screen at discharge hole of konjac flour crushing equipment. Sieve the
konjac flour into different particle size and separate from the impurities
14. Test: Test the moisture、viscosity、
transparency、PH and whiteness of konjac flour after grinding.
Confirm if all these specification suitable for standard and keep records.
15. Alcohol soak and washing: Remove impurities, heavy metals and sulfur by soaking and washing in alcohol.
16. Solid-liquid separation: After washing, separate konjac flour from alcohol.
17. Wet grinding: Slowly pour into the grinding wheel, adjust the elasticity of grinding wheel slice
and grind the konjac flour particles into appropriate fineness.
18．Dehydration separation：Use machine method（centrifuge，filter pressing ）take off most water. Ensure moisture content less than 55%.
19. Vacuum drying：Put the wet konjac powder into vacuum tank, drying it at 90℃ till moisture is less than 20%.
20. Hot air drying: After vacuum drying, use airstream to do fast drying konjac powder to control moisture less than 10%.
21. Homogenizing/standardization: Put the same batch products into homogeneous tank to make products mixed evenly.
22. Sieving: Remove impurities and black spot by vibrating screen.
23. Inspect&testing: Check if physical and chemical characters meet with the standard.
24. Metal detection：Packaged products tested by metal detectors, ensure that the product had no metal foreign body.
25. Qualified product should enter warehouse: Packing qualified products, stick the label and put into warehouse.
