What is Plant Extract?
Plant Extract is extracting from plants herb,leaf,seed root or stem etc, and according to the need of extract texture, through physical and chemical extraction and separation process, it can obtain and concentrate one or more effective components of plant weight without changing the structure of effective components. It forms glycosides, acids, polyphenols, polysaccharides, terpenes, flavones and alkaloids according to the composition of the extract. According to different forms, can be divided into vegetable oil, concrete, powder (crystal powder), crystalline lens,etc.
Standard extract, (active component content) the standard extract of traditional Chinese medicine refers to an extract with relatively clear content quality obtained by extracting and processing traditional Chinese medicine with modern science and technology, also known as content extract. A product that can use an instrument or chemical test to determine the exact amount of ingredients required in an extract. Standard extract is a uniform standard of herbal, plant, animal and other extracts. Ginkgo 24:6 is the standard extract, detection method: high performance liquid phase HPLC and UV detection and high efficiency meteorological GC.
Ratio Extract, (X:1) scale extract tries to describe the extract, liquid extract or powder made from plants, animals and other raw materials after extraction and concentration. The number of raw materials before extraction is proportional to the number of products after extraction. Such extracts generally have no definite composition or content. For example, the pharmaceutical product of 10 kilograms of Maca is extracted and condensed into 1 kilogram of powder. We call it the proportion of maca extract of 10:1, or it is the proportion of maca10:1.
Raw Powders ,Only a certain raw material directly crushed into powder, after a certain simple treatment of the product. The usual name is XX (Plant name) raw powder/pure powder/powder, Plant Powder/straight powder.
Above three ones are what used mainly on the herbal extract market,there are also vegetable and fruit powders, extractum,and Plant oil.
